*Read the story, don’t judge by the first picture.
A graveyard is never a place you want to be taking pictures, yet many of us have experienced the loss of a loved one and found ourself in this very location. Loss hurts. It brings tears. It’s doesn’t end….but people can help you through.
Today my dear friend Kate buried her precious Papaw. The Lord calls us to rejoice with those who are rejoicing and weep with those who weep. Today we did the latter.
My heart is broken on your behalf. I have asked God to fulfill His promise to be “near to the broken hearted”. May your family feel the peace and comforting character of God in this season. I know the pain is still great.
In hearing the stories and knowing your memories I know he was a Man of God. Loss is just that, LOSS. Loosing an earthly address is something all of us will do. Yet what a joy, through Salvation, we can cling to the hope of seeing loved ones again. Most of all walking with Jesus in our true home in Heaven.
Funerals are always sad, but knowing where a loved one is brings comfort. What a joy to have a savior who extends His grace to each of us. Not forced, just offered. Home in heaven is hope. Hell is utter darkness, full separation from God. I want to know where my eternity is going to be. Do you know? It seems like something worth thinking about. One day we will all be the one who has passed at a funeral, where you went on to is important.
I do not pretend to understand the full extent of your pain, your family’s pain, or the pain of anyone who has lost a close loved one.
I just know when you love people, you show up for them.
So today through the tears it was a joy to catch a small smile, a hug, and a little laugh.
I am a huge advocate of capturing moments. All moments. Happy, sad, and everything in between. While it is easy to post all the fun I think it’s important to remember the hard days to.
So here are a few unconventional photos.
Continuing to pray for you and your family!🤍
