Meet Kaleigh Knight!
Kaleigh is 26 and has been happily married to her wonderful husband, Caleb, for four years! They have two pups, Snow & Emmy. You can almost always find her at a coffee shop or curled up in a cozy corner with a book. She LOVES working with children and teens and has a special place in her heart for helping them to overcome the many challenges in life so they may see who they are through Jesus's eyes!
Kaleigh and I met at church a few months ago and quickly became friends. Her heart to live the Set Apart Life is so encouraging! We currently are in a young married couple's small group together, and she is one of my biggest supporters of this ministry. I am so excited for you to hear her story!

Here's her answer to:
"How is God calling to you to be Set Apart in your current season of life?
"About two years ago, I opened my heart up to the Lord and asked Him to start pulling away from me the things that made me less like Him. Since then, He has been doing just that, working on me in different ways in each season of my life. In my current season, we have been diving deep together into teaching me what it means to be an image-bearer of God, as stated in Genesis 1:27-- "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." If I am an image-bearer, then everything I do is a representation of God. So, what am I showing others about the Lord through my actions? What am I teaching the lost about Jesus through my words, my thoughts, and my choices? And if God made everyone else in His image, just as He made me, then my actions and words towards them also speak to my heart's posture towards God. If I speak out of anger to another or hold a grudge against them, or do something unkind to them, then I am doing those things against the Lord.
So, how ARE we really supposed to treat others? The world has a lot of opinions on this, and many of them may even sound very Biblical, even though they're not. We find our answers to this question through reading and understanding the full story of the Bible. The second way the Lord is calling me to be set apart in this season is to seek His word to learn just exactly who He is, and what His Word reveals about His characteristics. Only then will I be able to understand exactly what my path and identity should look like as an image-bearer. The more that I understand and know the author of my life, the more I will understand what it should be like. Identity is one of the things which Satan has waged an all-out war on because it is so important. If you can forget who you are, then you forget why you're here. And if you forget why you're here, you may start living like you have nothing to lose. Knowing Christ and my identity through Him is the only way to ensure that I am living Set Apart"
There is so much truth packed into these paragraphs. Thank you so much Kaleigh for sharing. Seeing your heart for Christ and learning a little more about your story is truly an encouragement to me. I hope you have been blessed as you read this today.
