Here's her answer to:
"How is God calling to you to be Set Apart in your current season of life?"
God has been calling me to live a life set apart for most of my adult life. I have been successful, and I have failed. God placed upon my heart at a young age Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be." Each year, my precious daughter-in-law, Landis, has challenged herself and others with a Word or Phrase for the year. This year my word is Beneficial. Are my actions, words, and activities beneficial? Beneficial to myself, my husband, our children, and most importantly to God. Am I representing God in a way that is Beneficial in promoting the Kingdom of God, winning people to Christ, and imparting what God has been teaching me to others? It is hard for me to say if I am impacting others, yet I know that keeping the word beneficial in mind has helped me. Because not all things are beneficial, our plans or actions may be good, but God wants what is best. God's Holy Spirit is working on me and the most beneficial thing I can do is store treasures in Heaven because things of this earth will pass away and only what remains is of God.
