Writer's picture: Landis GibsonLandis Gibson

Meet Taylor Brookshire! Taylor is a stay-at-home mom to one beautiful baby girl and a wife to her husband Chapin. I can’t wait for you to hear her testimony on friendship!

Here are a few fun facts about Taylor to get to know her better:

What’s your favorite part of Spring?

The perfect weather! Seeing God’s creations really coming back to life.

What’s your favorite Worship Song?

“I Thank God” by Maverick City Music.

What are your currently reading in God’s Word?

The book of Kings.

As we are diving into friendship this season I hope you can see the importance of Godly friendships through Taylor’s story. She and her husband and their BEAUTIFUL daughter are the sweetest souls that I have the blessing of knowing personally. I met Taylor through her our husbands working together several years ago, then attending church together for a season. It is always crazy amazing to see God’s hand thread years of stories together. He is always working, always! May we never forget to look for His hand.

Here’s her story:

How have friendships influenced your life?

Tucker Gibson specifically is the reason why we started going to church and became closer to God. He was a wonderful influence on Chapin and such a great Godly human. Because of Tucker we have been attending church now for 4-5 years. We are raising our daughter in church and we dedicated her to the Lord on August 28th, 2022. Our lives are so much better being closer to God. My whole perspective on life has changed and I know nothing is possible without God. Without Tucker pushing us to go to church I’m not sure how great life would be.

We always made excuses not to go or we would both be working (yes on Sundays). Now, we are both sad if for some reason we can’t make it. It’s such a breath of fresh air. Church always starts my week off with the mindset.

Do you have a group of Godly friends or is this something you are praying for?

I do! But I would also love more! I strive to raise my daughter around Godly humans.

Have friendships ever negatively impacted your walk with Christ?

Absolutely!! It’s very easy to say yes to a friend wanting to do something on a Sunday rather than go to church. Or participate in something that you know you shouldn’t be doing. More so when I was younger of course. Now that I am older, I choose to be around better humans so that I can better myself.

Thank you, Taylor, for sharing your heart on

friendship. The people we hang around truly do influence the direction of our lives. I think many of us can relate to your heart of gratitude for the friendships you have and the desire to grow Godly community.

May we all strive to live SET APART for His glory in all areas of our life, including friendship.
