JOY

Surround yourself with people who bring you joy.

Surround yourself with people who make you belly laugh.

Surround yourself with people who give you big hugs even when you aren’t a hugger.

Surround yourself with people who aren’t afraid to be honest with you. The ones who tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear are the ones you need to hold the closest.

Surround yourself with people who wipe your tears and lift you back on your feet when you feel like you can’t make it another step.

Surround yourself with people who pray for you daily. Those who pray for your marriage, your mental health, your job, your struggles, the big things, the little things, and for it all matters. That matters friend! Think about it, are they praying for you? I don’t want to surround myself with someone who isn’t!

Most importantly, surround yourself with people who point you closer to Jesus. This is the most important thing to think about! Who you surround yourself with matters. It matters if they love Jesus! I promise you when you surround yourself with someone who loves the Lord and pursues a relationship with Christ it changes things! You find more joy in life, you feel refreshed by their presence, and you know you’re headed in the right direction when you’re pointed to Christ.

While it’s important to surround yourself with those who are growing in Christ daily, it’s also important to be that friend too. I encourage you to take a moment for a heart check and really dig deep to see are you that friend too?

Are you growing in your walk with the Lord or are you stagnant? It’s not too late to start.

Are you praying for your people daily? It’s not too late to start.

Are you surrounding yourself with God loving people? It’s not too late to start.

These are my girls and I am so thankful to be surrounded by them daily. We may be miles apart but it rarely feels like it when you make a point to talk daily and grow in friendship. I pray that the Lord will give you your people too. Surround yourself with those who love the Lord.
